New shippers. The first three loads are prepaid by ACH or card before pickup — standard terms after that, subject to credit approval. We say it up front rather than at the invoice.
Carriers. We tender only to carriers whose operating authority we check against FMCSA on the day of dispatch and whose cargo certificate we hold, issued directly by their agent. Detention, per diem and chassis charges get passed through with the documentation, at the time it happens.
If we're not the right fit. Local transloads inside the harbor area are usually better served by a carrier you already use. We'll tell you that rather than quote something we can't win.
