Bastion Supply & Logistics is a licensed and bonded freight brokerage and supply-chain consulting firm at the Port of Los Angeles / Long Beach. We arrange drayage, transload coordination, and nationwide FTL/LTL through a Southern California owner-operator carrier network — every carrier's operating authority and cargo insurance verified before dispatch — and improve the operation behind it with operations consulting, financial-operations discipline, and AI-driven analytics.
We arrange the freight — and improve the operation behind it. From the dock to the data, Bastion is built to make your logistics measurably better.
Freight arrangement and carrier management, dispatch and tendering, drayage, and door-to-door coordination across a Southern California owner-operator network and nationwide partner carriers — operating authority and insurance verified before every dispatch.
Network and route optimization, SOP build-out, KPI and scorecard design, cost-to-serve analysis, and operations diagnostics — the operating playbook our founder built running high-volume last-mile and sortation logistics, applied to your operation.
Cross-dock, port-adjacent transload, and short-term storage arranged through partner facilities for containerized and break-bulk cargo, with inventory coordination.
Bulk fuel, hazmat, and refrigerated freight — local and long-haul — arranged through compliant carrier partners, with operating authority, safety record, and cargo coverage checked before dispatch.
Pricing, margin, cash, budget governance, and cost-model discipline — built on our founder's five years advising small businesses as a fractional CFO and growth consultant.
Opportunity intelligence, capability matching, requirements / compliance (RTM) matrices, and cost build-ups — technology that finds, qualifies, and prices the right work.
Built in-house to run every brokered load: instant quoting with transparent pass-through pricing, tokenized shipment tracking your team can open from any link, carrier vetting with hard compliance gates (FMCSA data, CA DLSE §2810.4, CARB drayage registry), and detention & demurrage invoice audit under 46 CFR 541.6 — with a named human approving every regulated decision. AI-driven opportunity intelligence, analytics, and proposal / cost tooling that compress weeks of work into hours.
How we deliver. We self-perform planning, coordination, QA/QC, DOT/CARB safety and compliance oversight, customer interface, and invoicing — and scale execution through qualified partner carriers and warehouses, with operating authority and insurance verified before dispatch. For government teaming, we're an SBA-certified SDVOSB / California DVBE structured to self-perform a commercially useful function.

Freight brokerage & consulting engagements nationwide.
Not a queue and not an auto-responder. If anything about the lane is ambiguous — terminal, chassis, appointment, weight — we ask you one short question instead of guessing and quoting wrong.
Operating authority checked against FMCSA on the day, and a cargo certificate issued directly by the carrier's agent held on file. A carrier we cannot verify does not get your freight.
Linehaul plus every accessorial we can foresee, itemized at cost. Detention, per diem and chassis are passed through with the documentation, at the time they happen — not thirty days later.
And the part most brokers leave out: if we cannot cover your lane at a price that works for you, we tell you that same day instead of quoting a number to keep the conversation alive. A quote you can't rely on costs you more than a straight no.
Send the lane, commodity and timeline below and we respond the same business day — or use the full rate request form → for container drayage and FTL out of POLA/POLB.
Yes. FMCSA Broker of Property — Active · USDOT #5796599 · MC 64902043, with a BMC-84 surety bond in force. Don't take our word for it: go to safer.fmcsa.dot.gov, query USDOT 5796599, and read the Operating Authority Status line yourself. Any broker who won't hand you their number is telling you something.
Through a Southern California owner-operator network and nationwide partner carriers, sized to each shipment. Before anything is tendered we check the carrier's operating authority against FMCSA on the day, and we hold a cargo certificate issued directly by their insurance agent — not a copy the carrier forwarded us. A carrier we cannot verify does not get your freight, no matter how good the rate looks.
The same business day, and it comes with the carrier named. If we cannot cover your lane at a price that works for you, we tell you that same day instead of quoting a number to keep the conversation alive. A quote you can't rely on costs you more than a straight no.
Linehaul plus every accessorial we can foresee at the time of quoting, itemized at cost. Detention, per diem, chassis and chassis split are passed through with the supporting documentation at the time they happen — not discovered by you thirty days later on an invoice. Pass-throughs carry no markup.
The first three loads are prepaid by ACH or card before pickup. After that, standard terms, subject to credit approval. We put this on the website rather than raising it after you have already committed the freight.
Because we publish a range only once at least two independent carriers have quoted the same lane, equipment and service type. One quote is an opinion, not a market. Every quote also has to carry six fields — carrier legal name, USDOT, who gave the rate, the date, how long it holds, and the equipment, lane and service type — or it isn't counted. An empty index is the honest state of a young bench; a fabricated one would be worse than useless to you.
Yes — hazmat, overweight and permit loads, heavy haul, and refrigerated, arranged through carriers qualified for that specific work rather than a general dry-van carrier taking a chance on it. Tell us the condition up front; it changes both the carrier and the price, and finding out at the terminal is the expensive way.
Yes. Quoting, dispatch updates, tracking and invoice questions are all handled bilingually in English and 中文, by the same person who priced your load — not routed to a separate translation desk.
Need freight moved, a network optimized, or a supply chain that runs leaner — we respond same day. Downey, California.
